How to read Treasury Auction results

Good morning everyone. I wanted to do a little technical piece on the fixed income world, in this case I decided to talk about auctions.

We have all seen that the fears of the US deficit and the Moody's downgrade were compounded by an auction on US treasuries that did not go well at all. In this piece, I will take a moment to look at the most important indicators to look at to get an idea directly.

First, let's see, for those who have it, the Bloomberg functions to stay up to date on upcoming auctions and results. There are a lot of functions (as the old AUCR), but below I will talk of the new ones.
